Online Research Both online and traditional library resources are useful when conducting research. Each has their own individual strengths and weaknesses. Conducting research online sometimes can be a lot riskier than researching in a traditional library. Sometimes the research you’re receiving form the internet isn’t as safe or legitimate as receiving it from the library. Both resources have advantages and disadvantages when using them for research. The advantages of using the internet are convenience, currency, electronic access, and it’s very easy to use. The disadvantages of using the internet are costs, disorganized, accuracy and limited archives. With technology changing daily you rarely see people going into a library. People have become very familiar with researching online to avoid having to go into a library. As I stated before, the research on the internet isn’t as reliable as it would be form the library.
