CHE 128B Organic Chemistry This course will continue the introduction to various synthetically useful reactions, and it will build on the concepts and reactions presented in CHE 128A. An introduction to spectroscopy will also be included. CS; Iverson, BL; Anslyn, EV, Organic Chemistry, 5 th Edition . Brooks/Cole, 2009 (a study guide/solutions manual is also available) same as for CHE 128A We will cover Chapters 10 through 19, roughly in order. Molecular models, continue as in CHE 128A.

Course Requirements Two midterm exams: 80 points and 100 points, cumulative Final exam: 220 points, cumulative 4 problem sets: 25 points each (due on 1/20, 2/5, 2/19, and 3/12) Totals: 180 + 220 + 4x25 = 500 total points possible My Expectations This course is not about memorization.
