Course Aims This course aims to o Introduce the students with the important frameworks, concepts and techniques of marketing management. o Provide students general knowledge about planning and implementing successful marketing strategies. o Familiarize students with the marketing concepts and applications in real business situations. 2. Teaching Method The module is conducted in a seminar format including: o Seminars o Class discussions in which students are encouraged to participate o Group Projects and presentations Grading Scheme in this course: Coursework: Class Discussion Mid-Term Test Group Project 5% project proposal 15% presentation 20% written report 10% 20% 40% Examination: Final Examination 30% Total: 100% Regulation of the Course Students need to meet the attendance requirement of the Dept. of Marketing for the completion of the course which is now 70%. You may not able to take the examination because of this, or you may be failed because of this. Students are required to pass both coursework and examination components in order to be awarded a pass. Students’ final grades are subject to the Assessment Panel or its delegate’s final decision. 3. Class Discussion (10%) It includes individual or group class exercises, case study discussion, brief discussion on marketing concepts and/or raising questions during project presentation, etc. Students will be required to fill in comment sheets in the presentation weeks.
