In what way might it be possible to force cancer cells to become more immunogenic? One of the possible ways to force cancer cells to become more immunogenic are by forcing cancer cells to express proteins or antigens on their surface that initiate or cause immune responses. For example, expressing major histocompatability complex class I proteins that initiate immune response can be used to present intracellular antigen to cytotoxic T cells leading to attacking and killing of infected cells. 3. How might measurements of immune functions provide insight into the presence of tumors in the body? Presence of tumors can cause suppression or reduction of efficacy of the immune system as well as its functions, therefore measurements of the immune system function can provide insight into the presence of tumors in body.
