Staff paper, pencils, eraser Course Objectives and Expectations: This course is designed to teach you how to sight-sing, that is, to be able to pick up a piece of music that you have never seen before and sing it with a fair amount of accuracy. This course will also introduce you to fundamental concepts of music theory such as pitch, rhythm, and various elements of major and minor tonality. We will be sight-singing melodies and rhythms in class every day. The melodic and rhythmic exercises will always be accompanied by conducting. These skills can be developed only through regular practice,
