Each line should include—at most—one equals sign. o Conclude with your final solution(s), presented in the appropriate format. Always reduce answers to lowest terms and simplify all signs in the final answers.  [ex. –(+3) would be written as -3; +(-3) would be written as -3]. Unless decimals are in the original problem, no work or answers should be presented in  decimal form.  (Exception: scientific notation.) o Present all partial numbers as proper fractions. o Present all mixed numbers as improper fractions. o Type parentheses around: o All fractional coefficients.  [ex. (1/2)x; (4/3)y 2 ] o All numerators and denominators longer than one term if typing horizontally. [ex. (x – 2)/6;  -7/(y + 3); (x – 6)/(x + 5)] o All fractions being multiplied or divided if typing horizontally. [ex. (4/5)(2/9); (2/3) ÷ (-3/4)]
