Does the violence on television or in video games cause aggression in children or is this just a myth? Numerous studies have been conducted on this subject and the majority of them have all proven that the video games do cause some form of aggression. There are also multiple side effects other than aggression from video games and the violence in the media which include, but are not limited to; obesity, lack of brain development, anti social behavior, and other various health problems. Further research has shown that most children who play video games have a deep fear of being the victim and makes the child react in a violent manner, as if he or she were playing a video game. Children learn the most from what they are taught and see repeatedly. They learn that violence is accepted and rewarded. The way most violent video games work is, you kill something or blow something up you will be rewarded. Which in turn creates the thought “if I commit this violent act I get rewarded” in a child’s brain. In a video game everyone commits violence and the good guy doesn’t have any consequences, therefore teaching a child to ignore the consequences of committing the act of violence. It has been proven that children between the ages of eight and twelve are the most sensitive to media violence. In addition to learning the violence another problem exists, anti social behavior. When a child spends hours inside his or her house playing video games he or she doesn’t get the interaction with other children needed for socializing. A child being inside all the time looses more than just social skills, being inside leads to obesity and lack of imagination. Children who lack in imagination don’t play well by themselves without the video game and cannot make up a story. Having an imagination is a necessity

The caption fits this very well because with children being obese it leads to many diseases such as heart disease and high blood pressure. Being outside and being active could reduce his risk of having a heart problem later in life. Other problems than obesity is associated with video games, such as high blood pressure, and lack of brain development. When a child is stressed because he or she is losing in the
