M M E E 1 1 2 2 3 3 : : S OLID W ORKS L AB Winter 2010 https://catalysttools.washington.edu/workspace/jhjones/9351/ Lab 12: Drawings Pre-Setup: Things to remember Select sheet size; either A-landscape or A-Portrait Make sure you deselect Display Sheet Format Make sure you are working in 3 rd Angle o Right-click on Sheet1 select Properties Open the Options menu: o In the System Options tab, go to Display Style : s Hidden lines visible? s Tangent edges removed? o In the Document Properties tab, select: s ANSI standard s Centermarks/centerlines? ( Detailing ) s Set the units to match the model Navigation: Insert parent view and related child views using the wizard o Make sure to select your scale and Display style Set Tangent Line Visibility o Right click on the view, select Tangent Edges , choose option Add additional views—Isometric, Section, Auxiliary, Detail, etc… o Draw a Cut Line for Section Views o
