Melody makes us feel a certain way about the piece. Rhythm makes us want to move with the piece. Harmony is the underlying force that ties the melodies together. Tone Color sets the mood of the piece. 2. Also, choose any one of the pieces (or movements from one of the pieces) in the video programs so far and briefly describe it in terms of these four elements. When appropriate also incorporate ideas from the musical terms sheet in your description. (Hint: Use a description/reaction that you've already written from one of the previous compositions and re-read it with the concepts from the Copland book and terms sheet in mind now. Then think about what you might have heard differently in the music now that you've learned more about 'what makes it tick'.
