Lecture MTuWTh 2:00-3:30PM 1 Pimentel Goal: By the end of this course you will be able to understand the fundamentals of organic chemistry particularly with carbonyl, nitrogen and aromatic groups. You will be able to apply these concepts to biological compounds including amino acids, peptides and carbohydrates. Students will also be able to clearly draw out the movement of electrons leading to organic transformations. Successful students will also be able to envision synthetic pathways to target compounds.
