April Hobbs English 1102 Dr. Wilder 11 April 2008 Consistency and Good Eating Habits As a human being, I do not realize how well food can define the way I live my life and also how it reflects my decision making. Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin says “Tell me what you eat and I'll tell you who you are.” This statement can be justified by examining my food journal, April’s Food Journal . This journal exemplifies how consistent I am on a daily basis, and it also shows how my choices of food are based on dietary issues. Although this journal does not tell everything about me, it represents big characteristics of how I live me life. My food journal is a collection of entries that contains descriptions of the food I ate for over a period of seven days. When reading through my food journal, I noticed several patterns. One of the patterns is the consistency of my eating. Monday through Thursday, I eat around the same time each day. For breakfast, I always eat around 9:15 am. For dinner, I always eat around 6:15 pm. I describe eating breakfast as a “daily morning ritual.” This shows my consistency when it comes to eating. At dinner on March 25, I said “I am meeting up at ECV to eat dinner, just like yesterday.” This is another example of how habitual I am with my actions. I seem to have a routine that I follow when eating. This pattern that I noticed implies that I am a
