Hobbs, April(A) Honerkamp Religion 1001 Logan Edwards Christian Ways of Being Religious The term “Christian” represented a religious movement that consisted of Jews and Gentiles. This religious group worshipped Christos. Christos is the term for Christ. Christianity tends to vary from place to place. It has many different rituals and structural set ups. Christianity also has various beliefs and even histories. As a result of these differences, it makes it very hard to study the background of Christianity. Christianity is not just a western religion. It is also growing in places such as Africa. Christianity has shaped the Western world (art, music, architecture, holidays, education, charities, medicine, etc.) (99). It is very hard to imagine western life without the input of Christianity. Christianity also has ties with Judaism. One of the rituals that is involved with Christianity is baptism. It is a type of symbolism for the death and rebirth. It’s as if the old person is thrown out, a new person has emerged.
