Hobbs, April Ecological Footprint Amy Trauger Assignment #4: Ecological Footprint 1. My Carbon footprint contains 101.1 global acres by consumption. My Food Footprint contains 118.8 global acres by consumption. My Housing Footprint contains 52.2 global acres. My Goods and Services Footprint contains 62.3 global acres by consumption. The total number of global acres is 334.32. It will take 8.62 earth’s to support a world full of people like me! In every category listed, I am above the country’s average of global acres. In the food footprint, I am about 53.1 global acres above the average, which surprised me. 2. After making adjustments to my lifestyle, I only reduced my amount of global acres needed by 40.76 global acres. This is about 7.57 earths, which is not a huge change than before. The biggest difference occurred in my carbon footprint. This was reduced by about 16.1 global acres. While adjusting my ecological footprint, I realized that I could not change the size of my home.
