Week 19 Canada The common story of C, is that is begins in Jerusalem, goes through the roman empire to medieval euope, then the protestant reformation, then into the new world as French Canadians get here first, then the English later. Then the French conquest then missionaries go around the world and C becomes global.   C has made its way into CA and US not predominantly by missionaries or clergy, but by migration. Rember, there are way more C regular people than clergy or missionaries. So C mainly spread through the people.   The Viking people made their way to north America (Greenland) first yr 1000 This was a Christian settlement there was icelanders, greanlanders and norse ppl in Canada before Columbas. During this time. Lief Eriksson reached newfound land and called it vinland. John cabbot in 1497 is credited as the 1 st European after the Vikings to come on the north American mainland and was funded by the crown of England. He himself was Italian catholic.
