CheckPoint: Contingency Theory of Leadership Description of work environment During this assignment I am going to describe my fictional restaurant. Directive approach Supportive approach Upon being hired all employees will go to an orientation and receive the company handbook. This handbook explains all rules and procedures of the company and work performance standards. During the orientation the General Manager will go over the business model and handbook, answering any questions the new employees may have. Newly hired employees will also be required to complete a training program which teaches them to effectively fulfill their duties and the required standards of work performance. The training program also details individual goals set for each employee and the bonuses that will be paid upon goal completion. The employees will be notified that all work scheduling is done by the General Manager and is posted in a two week block. Any schedule problems will be addressed by the General Manager as long as the employee gives a minimum of a two week notice. Upon being hired all employees will go
