Maureen Muller Chemistry 1211 June 30, 2010 Shinall Lab #1: Graphing Experimental Data Objective To learn how to collect and graph experimental data. Procedure 1. Insert the pipet into the one hole stopper to form seal. 2. Collect 500 ml of water in 600 ml beaker. Put small stir bar into 25 mL erhleneyer stopper and fill all the way up to the top with water. 3. Fill 600 ml beaker with warm water to cover flask. Turn the ster plate to low and place flask, beaker and thermometer onto stir plate. 4. Wait five minutes, read temperature and volume and record. 5. Add ice to water bath and swirl thermomenter to mix ice until it has all melted. Record volume and temperature. 6. Repeat this step five times. 7. Clean up.
