One major experience I deal with at home is trying to guide my seventeen-year-old stepdaughter. We’re fourteen years apart so I can’t really be her mother. I’m more like a sister. I know what she’s going to do before she does it because I was her age once. I just try to give her advice and lead her in the right direction. Another challenge I’m experiencing is working all the time because my husband’s company is slow right now. It’s hard working full-time and going to school full-time. Unformatted text preview: myself so I don’t get overwhelmed and stressed out. My experiences at work are really challenging. I work ten-hour days and I have to deal with a lot of attitudes. The people I work with have bad attitudes. You try to help them and they get an attitude with you. I don’t only have to deal with my coworker’s attitudes but also the customer’s attitudes. I deal with these situations by killing them with kindness. I also just found out I’m allergic to polyester. Most of the shirts are 100% or 65% polyester so I have to spend my own money to buy cotton shirts to wear under the polyester shirts. I believe the post conventional morality theory helps best with dealing with these changes. Post conventional morality in Kohlberg’s theory, the level of moral reasoning in which judgments are based on an integration of individual rights and the needs of society (Boyd & Bee, p. 45).
