1 st Posting Due by Day 3 . Death, Dying, and Bereavement . If you knew that you were going to die in six months, ideally, what would those six months include? Respond to at least two of your fellow students' postings by Day 7. (You must create one initial post and at least two responses, for a minimum of three posts for this discussion.) If I knew I was going to die in six months I would try to do many things I’ve always wanted to do. I would definitely take a great vacation. I love Las Vegas but I would probably go somewhere I haven’t been. Obviously I would spend as much time with my family and try to prepare them the best that I could for what’s to come. Additionally, I would explain my illness and why I have such a short time. Unfortunately, I almost had the experience of losing my mother. Her whole side of her family died of some sort of cancer but fortunately we caught it soon enough to

Unformatted text preview: treat it. My mother had seven siblings and only two remain. The two left is my mother and her youngest sister. My mom still has skin cancer and now emphysema. Her baby sister also had breast cancer but never got treated. Because she didn’t get treated, the cancer spread and now she’s crazy because it has reached her brain. I guess after all the experiences of death I’ve been through; I’ve gotten numb to death. I’ve gotten used to so many deaths it’s like a routine. I think the deaths that will affect me most will be my close family. I will be devastated when my parents pass. When the time comes for my siblings, I think it will be very hard to deal with that situation. When everyone’s gone, whom do you have to go to? I always expect to rely on my older siblings.
