Mikey Matthews Period 7 Psychology The Story of Peter Being the parents of Peter, we feel that it is in the best interest for him to be placed in a normal classroom with regular students rather than being in a self-contained class of only mentally disabled. While an aid may be necessary at times when Peter is acting out, we would like for him to learn from this class environment. From this class room environment, Peter can learn to interact with people that don’t have his disability. Not only will this help Peter in school, but also in the real world when he becomes an adult. By the time he becomes an adult, all the learning he received in classrooms of regular students will significantly surpass the learning that would have been received in a self-contained class.
