I think that the main differences between the memo and the academic paper are the way the  page and the font style is set up. For the academic paper the margins and the font itself are  specified. For a memo, there is no specific set up like that. All of the small details of the paper  are explained and specified. I think that it would be easier to format a paper rather than a memo. While the paper and the
