BioMI 291 Formal Lab Report Part 2 Limits to Bacterial Growth – Determining the optimal pH for E. coli growth Results: We measured OD values at 600 nm of growing E. coli cells in 4 tubes of varying pH (3, 5, 7, 9) every 15 minutes for a total of 90 minutes. The measured absorbance values are recorded in Table 1. The absorbance data was then plotted on semi-logarithmic graph paper. The graph can be seen on page 3.
