She cried as she held her knees to her chest and rocked herself. She kept hearing the trees scrape against the window and bang against the roof. Mary began to hate herself for telling her parents that she would be fine home alone for three months while they were away on a business trip in Europe. Three swift knocks sounded at her door and she jumped at the sound as she stared at the door. It nearly broke Eric's heart when he walked into Mary's room to see her in the corner crying and shaking in fear. He slowly walked over to her and crouched beside her and put his hand to her slender face. He whispered to her. Its okay now." Eric sat down beside her and pulled her into his lap letting her cry into his chest. He rubbed her back trying to comfort her pulled her into his lap letting her cry into his chest....
