The dial gauge values are recorded for the lowest punch position when making a bend angle of 90° for 28 samples. Data retrieval and processing method Eleven press brakes, named A to K and installed in different companies, have been used for this study, from which two machines J and K were equipped with devices for inprocess controlling of bend angles. A die with V-opening of 16 mm has been used on all press brakes except on machine A, for which such a die was not available. A V-opening of 12 mm on a die block with several V-openings has been used in this case.
