Keywords: actual geometric deviation, tolerancing, deformation, assembly 1 INTRODUCTION In order to reduce design costs and delays, simulation of mechanisms’ geometrical behaviour becomes more and more important in industry. We present in this paper the influence of components’ geometrical variations on functional conditions. It corresponds to an extension of work realised with rigid body hypothesis [Thiebaut 2001], [Bourdet and Ballot, 1995], and allows simulation of mechanisms made by some flexible components. Works dealing with components’ deformation on assembly are focused on welded, bolded or riveted assembly and propose variations propagation model [Camelio et al, 2001] or solution to study multi level assembly systems [Hu, 1997].
