A students score for this exercise will be added to the total points the student will have earned on exams throughout the term. This exercise is NOT mandatory. The grading scale will not increase as a result of students completing this exercise. The exercise will be due on August 12 and will NOT be accepted after this date . The following list contains the molecular formula and the number of double bonds and rings contained in the compound. Each student wishing to participate, must choose one of the compounds to be identified. The objects for this exercise are: Identify the compound (name, chemical structure). There could be more than one answer here, and so the student will submit a list of names of the compounds that have that particular chemical formula to the instructor. The instructor will then notify the student as to which is the correct target molecule.
