Unformatted text preview: AED/200 Multicultural Education Scenario Assignment Miesha K. Branch 6/13/2010 In my classroom I would use many different approaches to incorporate multicultural education and make sure that all of the students were learning the materials. Here is my plan and outline to be successful in my efforts to teach in a diverse classroom. • Plan my lessons each week based on topics and activities that I plan to use that all of the students can participate in. • Each week choose a different culture to learn about it and include activities and videos about that culture so all learning types as in catering to students that do better with hands on learning or visual learning or audio learning. Make sure that all students can relate and understand the topics. • Introduce the class by having all of the students write a paper about themselves telling where they are from, what their parents do for a living, all of their likes and dislikes, and things about their cultures that others may not already know. I believe that this will ensure that all of the students get to know each other and become acquainted and this will make participating in classroom discussions and activities a little bit easier....
