Nunnery’s Advancing Your Career, Concepts of Professional Nursing , 4th Ed. Kearney-Nunnery presents several models for health and illness to help us understanding health factors. Halbert L. Dunn’s model, “High-Level Wellness for Man and Society” seems very sensible to me. Halbert L. Dunn saw wellness is “not just a single amorphous condition, but rather that it is a complex state made up of overlapping levels of wellness”. His interest to explore absolute comprehensive factors influencing good health made him possible to create “The High-Level Wellness for Man and Society”, which is able to “provide an explanation of the person-environment relationship in health”.
