I would not say that anyone is obligated to another. However I believe that one should assist in ways that allow for a people to learn how to take care of their own. In saying this I mean providing the tools that mere money cannot provide. Education is key to these poorer countries. If we teach them how we utilize agriculture to provide our foods and how to harvest the grains that they are capable of growing then famine will never be an issue again. It is important to allow these other nations to see how it is possible

I think that if we were to do this the United States would be more respected by the other nations and they would only come to us to learn different techniques to make their homeland a more profitable place, one that not only provides for it’s people nutritionally but also provides a means of making an income from the selling of things grown on their soil. Ethically and morally I don’t believe that we should see anyone suffer if we are able to assist. I just think that providing a permanent means of assistance would be more suitable to a country that will continue to be in need due to the lack of ability to change their circumstances without the help of others. In doing so we have helped create a new way of life that will eventually lead to independence and a sense of pride....
