2 Alzheimer’s disease results in a progressive decline in one’s ability to care for oneself, ultimately leaving the individual dependent on others for help with basic activities of living. As a result, caring for a person with Alzheimer’s is often very difficult and poses physical, emotional, and economic challenges. Indeed, it takes a lot of energy, learning, and patience to deal with the Alzheimer's disease. Nevertheless, as a volunteer caregiver of Alzheimer’s residents at Air Force Village West, I assist the residents through communication and conducting fun activities in improving their quality of life. Of course, the key to providing quality of life for those suffering with Alzheimer’s, one must first learn the art of effective communication in a world fill with Alzheimer',
