Phase 4 Individual Project 2 2 Phase 4 Individual Project 2: Ethics As individuals, we should expect to be able to conduct business in the United States of America without the worry of being scammed in one way or another. This pertains to the trading of financial securities on the public securities markets. Examples of such markets are the NASDAQ (National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation), the New York Stock Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, the American Stock Exchange, and others. It would be a tremendous strain on the nation, as a whole, if everyone had to personally investigate each company in order to ensure they were not being scammed in order to trade their stock. Certainly, not to mention, it would drastically decline the amount of trade that would take place each day as the majority of people just would not go to the trouble to do such investigations (CTU Online, 2010). The IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) is a network of sixty thousand certified professional accountants. The IMA provides a foundation for account managers and other financial professionals to excel in their careers through its Certified Management Accountant program. Account Managers and Financial Analysts, which hold CMA certification usually, receive greater income remuneration than those that do not (CTU Online, 2010). The IMA is a forum of said certified individuals that network together in order to promote the highest in ethical and professional practices (About IMA, 2008).
