Nutrition and Exercise Plan 2 Nutrition and exercising is essential to maintain a well-balanced life and to be healthy. Nutrition is a tradition considered an integral part of health maintenance and disease prevention (www.medscape.com ). Implementing a personalized nutrition and exercise plan will help me lose the recommended amount of pounds to be healthy. I reviewed the My Pyramid Plan again and plugged in the numbers, which are my age; forty-one years old, my weight; one hundred and forty five pounds, my height; 5 feet 6inches. My Pyramid Plan stated the mass I put in to calculate is exceeding the healthy percentile for my height. Any additional weight can put me at an elevated jeopardy for numerous health tribulations as well as type 2 diabetes, heat issues, and elevated blood pressure. According to My Pyramid Plan, about 15 pounds of weight loss would be an easy solution. After reviewing the Food Guide Pyramid and my Pyramid Plan again, I will attempt to implement different eating practice and create a newer diet plan to improve my lifestyle. My target goal is to lose five to ten pounds and maintain that weight once it is lost. When growing older both sexes comprise unique dietary requirements and need smaller amounts of calories because they are not as physically active as they once were as a younger adult and their metabolic rates slow down. Their bodies still require the same or higher levels of nutrients for the top possible healthy outcomes. Both sexes need whole, enriched, and fortified grains and cereals such as brown rice and 100% whole wheat bread. For instance bright-colored vegetables, carrots and broccoli, dry beans and nuts. Fish, poultry, lean meat and eggs are great chose also. Both sexes require iron, calcium, fiber in their daily diet and bodily movement (exercise) to obtain a healthy balanced unique diet. When exercising older adult should talk with their Dr. to avoid bodily damage. Nutrition: Everyday choices . (2006).
