Note how the light rays move to the lens, how they are turned by the lens, and where they end up. Note the type of image formed and where it is. * Repeat with the object placed at the focal point. * Repeat with the object between the focal point and the lens. Questions: 1) Where is the object when the image is real? when the real image is magnified? when the real image is smaller than the object? 2) Where is the image when the object is at the focal point? Explain your answer. 3) Where is the object when the image is virtual? Describe the virtual images. 4) What happens to the (a) real image distance and (b) real image height as the object approaches the lens? 5)
