This plane can change from a passenger plane to one of all cargo plane. 747- the most recognizable of all of Boeings planes. There are manufacturing and innovation operations within The General Electric Company. There are numerous manufacturing plants that produce the products that General Electric offers, all over the United States and Globally. GE has global research centers in Niskayuna, NY; Bangalore, Indiana; Shanghai, China; and in Munich Germany. Description of marketing activities: General Electric has many marketing methods which include television, radio, print, and including charitable work in the United States and globally. General Electric has two signature programs that they offer to the community. The first program is Developing Health Globally and the second program is Developing Futures. Each of these programs represents 130 million dollars towards making a difference in the community. A new program was invented in 2009 called Developing Health which aims at the quality of healthcare in the United States. Where the company advertises and promotes its products/services and the type of marketing the company emphasizes (newspaper, TV, magazine advertising, etc.): The company advertises through the media, print, and through the radio. General Electric also advertises through NBC Universal. They promote their products globally and in the United States. General Electric uses all forms of marketing in order to promote the company. They also promote a more eco-friendly earth. They strive to produce products that help the environment. History of the company (When was the company founded and by whom?): General Electric goes as far back as 1876 when Thomas Edison opened a laboratory in Menio Park, New Jersey. In 1890 Thomas Edison put a few of his businesses together to establish Edison General Electric. In the same time period, Edison’s competitor Thomson-Houston Company also became a dominant electrical innovation company through merges by Charles A. Coffin. It had become very difficult for the two companies to produce complete electric installation relying on their own technologies and patents. The two companies
