Nucor: The Art of Motivation 2 Nucor’s approach to managing its people requires managers to take on the role of supervisory positions so the work that used to be done by supervisors has been pushed off onto the managers, according to CEO DiMicco the managers are like mini CEO’s. 2. Suggest several ways that a company might encourage its more experienced workers to listen to ideas from newer employees. A company may encourage more experienced workers to listen to the newer employees by allowing them to voice their opinions as well at some point manage his or her own team. This will allow the experienced worker to see how well the new employees can operate in the system also make them feel as though what they have to say or suggest is important.
