Educational Philosophy Educational Philosophy varies from person to person. There are all sorts of different type of philosophies for example teacher-centered, student-centered, and society-centered. I prefer the student-centered philosophy because I think that is when cognitive thinking is being used the most. High School is when students are students are starting to build up more self-thinking. At this points students should not be forced down information that they will not remember and only regurgitate it when it is time for tests. Students should be given topics and self-research and participation should be key for the student to develop their skills and thoughts. While I was in High School most of teachers did not care about the students who did not participate. And in my classroom, I want participation to be king. I want students to come out of their shell and be willing to communicate with other students. It isn't all about education in the secondary level some of these kids are going to go straight to the work force. It is imperative that
