Edwin Drake Many people must not recognize the name of Edwin Drake at first, but for some other people, the ones who like to know some more, this name can mean something different; personally I really like the life and work of this man because it jeans the beginning of some of the biggest industries in the history of the World, which is the industry of fuel, the industry of petroleum. Drake is famous for pioneering a new method for producing oil from the ground, but before that he went through a big trouble, the company which hired him practically left him alone, he was hired to investigate suspected oil deposits in Titusville, Pennsylvania, and along the way he was left alone and had to continue by himself and Drake proved successful. Personally, I admire this man for he had the strength to continue with what he believed which was something new, a new way of doing thins, he was a pioneer, and he is considered by many as The Father of The Petroleum Industry. Edwin Laurentine Drake was born on March 11, 1819 in Greenville County, New York,
