e-Governance in Haryana Haryana is proud of being the state with highest per capita income in the country. The Software & IT/ITES/BPO services exports from the State have increased from Rs. 400 Crores in the year 1998-99 to more than Rs. 14,000 Crores in the year 2006-07. There has been an increase of about 31% over the year 2005-06. The E-Readiness Assessment Report – 2006 of India, released by DIT, Govt of India has ranked Haryana as leader. The State e-Governance projects have already received 14 prestigious national awards. E-Governance Vision Statement To achieve Efficiency, Transparency, Accountability in governance by providing ICT enabled access and Opportunities for all, Anywhere, anytime ______________________________________________________ 9 Special emphasis on implementing Mission Mode e-Governance Projects, identified under the National e-Governance Plan

Unformatted text preview: (NeGP). 9 State IT department is facilitating the departments and NIC-HRSC & Hartron are assisting on technical aspects. 9 A well-defined, transparent & efficient system for the systematic approval of the departmental IT action plans has been put-up in place through various High Power committees which include 9 State Level IT Steering Committee (IT-PRISM), 9 State Technical Committee, 9 Ssociety for IT initiative fund for e-Governance initiatives at State level, 9 District IT Society in each district. The work has started on most of the mission mode projects and a significant progress has already been achieved on a number of projects.
