Then, 7 explain how you think each individual trait will affect the officer’s job. 8 . Post as an attachment. There were six different police personality traits listed in our text, authoritarianism, suspicion, hostility, insecurity, conservatism, and cynicism. Each of these traits can affect an officer’s job in different ways, and not every officer possesses all of these traits. Authoritarianism is a personality type that is predisposed to follow the dictates of a strong leader and traditional, conventional values.
