You might put in a “0”, if you think that the quantity remains unchanged. (b) Calculate the numerical value of the work done by the system for the complete cycle ABCA . 2. One mole of a monatomic ideal gas is taken through the reversible cycle shown in figure. Process bc is an adiabatic expansion, with p b = 10.0 atm and V b = 1.00 × 10 3 m 3 . Find (a) the pressure p a , (b) the heat added to the gas in process ab , (c) the heat leaving the gas in process ca , (d) the net work done by the gas, and (e) the efficiency of the cycle.
