CEO Report Regarding Sonox Emissions and Retrofitting Plant 2 CEO Report Regarding Sonox Emissions and Retrofitting Plant For the past month we have been scrutinizing the environmental issue regarding sonox emissions. Especially in terms of the physical health of the community of Riverside, which is where our main plant operates. During our investigation it came to light that the health issues within the community may be linked to discharge of the chemical sonox into the Cherokee River. We in recent years began using this chemical in the manufacture of our line of bleached kraft paper. Because this issue has caused a great deal of concern in the community and could lead to damaging outcomes for the mill, I decided to investigate this issue further and come up with a conclusion that I thought would be in the best interest of all. The proceedings are discussed in the body of this report. This report is structured as follows: The stakeholders involved The relative importance of stakeholders The mode of gathering data The decision The factors behind the decision The justification of the decision The stakeholders involved According to the modern stakeholder theory, everyone is entitled to be a stakeholder in a corporation (Brooks, 2007). But upholding this theory is beyond the scope of this investigation. Therefore, the stakeholders that were considered are: The City of Riverside and its residents Kardell employees and the Union Kardell investors
