NCTRC TR GRADUATES CONVERSION STUDY NCTRC is contacting you in an effort to collect more reliable data regarding the number of BA/ BS level graduates entering the field of therapeutic recreation upon graduation. More specifically, we are requesting your involvement in a two phase study to determine the NCTRC certification application and retention rate in therapeutic recreation practice for TR graduates during the past five years. In addition to obtaining quantitative data regarding the graduation to certification rate, we are also seeking in-depth subjective data to determine the actual reasons why some individuals choose to apply for certification and, to the contrary, why some do not apply. Participants may elect to respond to Phase I or Phase II or both. The two phases of the study are as follows: Phase I: Graduation Data Collection Participation in Phase I would require the educational institution to provide NCTRC with the list of names of BA/BS students who graduated from their respective academic institutions with a degree emphasis in therapeutic recreation for the years 2001; 2002; 2003; 2004; and 2005.
