Gordon Biersch 11/23/09 Gordon Biersch Case Study Dear Gordon and Biersch: I first would like to congratulate the two of you on your success thus far. You two make a great team and it shows in success of your restaurants and brewing company. I have to say that one of your key factors to success was your idea and timing of launching your restaurant. A change in the laws allowed for opportunity and you two took full advantage of that. Also, you two just happen to be a perfect partnership (with different experience and strengths) for the type of company you guys decided to start. Regarding restaurants, the locations have been key. You guys have chose perfect locations for restaurants and it obviously has paid off. Plus the idea to brew beer and sell it on site is probably what has attracted the majority of your customers (another great idea by the way). Then, the decision to open a brewery and sell your beer in local markets was another great decision. It enhanced your brand awareness and complemented your
