Final Poli-15A Prof. Elena Dorabji An American Learning Experience The history of the American political system dates back to the creation of the United States Constitution. I learned sufficiently about the writing of the Constitution that surprised me be I did not know before. The purpose of the Constitution was to act as the supreme law of the country. At first, the Constitution consisted of seven original articles. Then over-time, the constitution established the first ten amendments, which became known as the Bill of Rights. Furthermore, there is an addition of seventeen amendments that were ratified into the law separately. Through my studies inside and outside the classroom, I learned that the Constitution did not address anything regarding suffrage, socialism, or economy. The main concern of the people when establishing these laws was equality; however, the amendments did not reach on all aspects of equality. Before amendments 11-27 could be created and ratified, the Bill of Rights did not set up or
