Course Goals and Student Learning Objectives Upon completion of this course the student will: 1. apply the nursing process to the concepts of promotion of health, prevention of illness, and restoration of health in a community context; 2. assess a given family system and a community system to determine strengths, problems, resources, and effective nursing interventions; 3. determine the community health care needs and problems for high risk populations; 4. discuss ethical issues related to implementing nursing care in the community; 5. describe case management as a service delivery model and an intervention; 6. analyze the roles and responsibilities of the community health nurse and the mental health nurse in accordance with relevant ANA standards and relate them to professional
