U.S. Treasury No. 2 Officials to Visit Africa The number two official in the Treasury Department will visit Africa next week to discuss reducing poverty and increasing the economic growth in Africa. Secretary Neil Wolin will visit Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Africa next week from October 28 th to November 5 th . This will be the first visit to Africa by a senior U.S. treasury official since the Obama administration took over. Wolin will meet with government officials to discuss Obama’s commitments to deal with the global economic crisis by advancements in the food security and growth from the agriculture. Wolin will meet government officials in Kigali, Dar Es Salaam, Johannesburg, and Pretoria. Wolin discusses the importance that this trip will be, giving the opportunity to meet with partners

Wolin also discussed things such as Africas infrastructure and enhancing the financial sector and improving its investment on the climate. I believe that it is very important for the U.S. to continue to work with countries internationally because this will also help to better improve our economic stability. Countries internationally, may need extra help in their development, and working with partners internationally will help the future of our country as well. More developed countries will create better international business situations for the U.S. in the future....
