Having stayed after school hours finishing up progress reports, the English teacher was on her way out of her classroom on the high school building’s second floor, trying tolock the door behind her when an unknown assailant struck her on the head from behind. Before blacking out, SCHMITZ noted that the time was 3:55 pm.Description of Crime Scene and Evidence: The crime scene–set apart by a piece of caution tape–is located at the bottom of the stairwell closest to SCHMITZ’s room in front of the chemistry lab’s window. An industrial-sized paper sack of whole wheat flour lies on the floor with a moderate amount of flour spilling from atear along the side of the sack. Numerous pairs of indistinguishable footprints, each of different size and shape with various owners, litter the spilled flour. However, there is a separate set of footprints unlike the others that start from the mud patch in front of the high school bathrooms and leads up the stairs closest to SCHMITZ’s room in the direction of the upstairs water fountains. These footprints begin distinctly but fade once they reach the water fountains, their destination unknown. They have pointed toes and three clear circles, indicating athletic tennis shoes. Upon further inspection, it is noted that the footprints are covered in a brown substance, presumably mud and look to be about a size 8 in women’s.
