You are encouraged to attend these even if you don’t have problems, since I will give Prerequisite : A passing score on the Entry Level Mathematics (ELM) exam. Required Text : Precalculus by Michael Sullivan, Sixth Edition (Prentice Hall, 2002). Course Objectives : (This is not an exhaustive list.) To master skills required to perform algebraic manipulations. To understand functions and apply the basic ideas relating to functions: domain, range, graphs, asymptotes, zeros, operations on functions. To master characteristics and special properties of polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions, conic sections, analytic geometry. Homework:
