To: Mr. Dan Gordon and Mr. Dean Biersch Date: February 22, 2009 Subject: Finance Analysis CC: Professor Bennet Dear Mr. Gordon and Mr. Biersch: I have reviewed the information you have sent me and agree that in order for the company to grow, a substantial amount of money needs to come from outside investors. Your plan shows that you require $11.2 million for the next step in building Gordon Biersch. You show that you have two choices on where to acquire the needed funds. You could choose to do business with Robertson, Stephens, & Co. or you could decide to do business with the Fertitta family. After completing my analysis, I recommend doing business with the Fertitta family for several reasons. They are obviously much more enthusiastic about the deal and about investing the required $11.2 million. They are willing to invest the entire amount without any other investors.
