Byrd Assignment Directions for Comm 101 The Communication Story Paper/ Midterm Many of us (likely all of us) have experienced "communication stories," in fact, we have probably told a few. A "communication story" refers to a narrative that represents or symbolizes some aspect of your experience communicating with others. Stories communicate information about lessons learned, culture, norms, behaviors, rules, values, philosophy, vision, etc. Your story could be something you experienced, something you observed, or something you heard. A story may appear in a variety of forms, including: A significant communication event. Some episode or occurrence may "live on" in the history of a communication setting (e.g., an organization) a person, or a relationship. A specific person. Our lives are filled with interesting people, some as "heroes" and "villains;" stories often exist about them.
