Project 1 Definition of Adolescence Due: March 2 Perceptions of adolescence have been changing over the years. For this project, you must interview an adolescent (between the ages of 12 and 18), and someone who is over 65 (try to find someone who has experienced the period of adolescence within a different country). Find out about the differences and similarities in the experiences of your two interviewees. Relate your findings to course material and include a copy of your interviews (typed) with your report. Your discussion will focus on the differences and similarities between these two individuals, and upon the role of cohort in how one experiences adolescence. A list of questions is provided below: Suggested Questions for Senior Citizen 1. At what age did you consider yourself an adolescent? What was it like being a teenager? What was the best part? What was the worst part of being a teenager? Is there a word for adolescence in your native language? 2. How do you think adults/your parents viewed teenagers in general? Was their view accurate? (if negative, why did they hold such views?) Did you hold similar views when you were raising your children? 3.
